Accounting
Accounting is the global language of finance used by business, professions and consumers. A solid foundation is given in the double-entry (debit/credit) system of transaction analysis, journals, ledgers, spreadsheets, financial statements, banking, income taxes, etc. This course is academically challenging, and is a good compliment to marketing, computer technology and math courses.
Personal Finance
Money! Want more? We’ll look at ways to earn money and get money for FREE! Then we’ll turn around and talk about how to keep it from disappearing from your bank account. We will go through many situations and projects like getting your first “real” job, buying a house, getting married, and having kids. This course will deal with banking decisions, insurance, payroll and day-to-day financial decisions.
8th Grade Careers
During 7th Grade Keyboarding/Computer Skills students will take the first quarter to learn the QWERTY keyboard and focus on their accuracy while typing. During second quarter students will continue to work on their keyboarding skills and focus on accuracy and speed when completing timings. They will then use their skills and apply it in their projects while learning the basics of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Computer Applications
This course covers that major components of a microcomputer system, computer terminology, data processing concepts, and hands-on experience with computers. Software applications include operating systems, word processing, presentation graphics, spreadsheet and database applications. This course is designed as a general education course for all students, regardless of their career choice. This course will not only enhance student’s knowledge and understanding of computers, but also their awareness of how computers will impact their lives. Students will learn to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint – programs used in the work world. Correct typing techniques will also be reinforced.
Sports Marketing
The sports marketing class will give students an introduction to the business side of sports. The class provides a fun way to learn about careers in sports while focusing on solid business basics, such as supply and demand, entrepreneurship, productivity and labor, and competition.
Intro to Business
Students will be introduced to each of the many important and exciting facets of business practice – from management to marketing to entrepreneurship and international business. The course is designed to help students determine their interest level in business and to gain an insight to various career opportunities.
Business Law
Are you curious about the law and how it affects you? Come take a tour of the American legal system. This course is designed to inform students of their rights and obligations in business and personal encounters. Topics will include criminal and civil law, the state and federal court systems, youth and legal system, negligence, as well as ethics and values.
Game:IT
Game:IT is an introductory course to game design and development that engages students in project-based learning. From the first lessons to the last lesson students navigate through guided tutorials to build games. This will include the use of STEM curriculum that has technical reading and technical writing activities incorporated within it.

Want to do more than make a Google site? Web Page Design is an introduction to the design, creation and maintenance of web pages. Students will critically evaluate websites and learn how to create dynamic pages and sites using a comprehensive web design program, Adobe Dreamweaver. Other topics will include HTML, Weebly and possibly Word Press.
Business Math
This course emphasizes mathematical concepts through practical applications in business situations covering percentages in business (mark-up and discounts), payroll and taxes, finance charges, inventory and depreciation.
College Success Skills
The purpose of this course is to provide an opportunity for students to learn and adopt methods to promote their success in college. The goal is to empower students to take charge of their thinking and learning process in order to successfully achieve their educational and life goals. Topics critical to student success will include: study techniques, time management, reading techniques, note taking strategies, test taking skills, memory techniques, critical thinking, communicating and diversity, college and community resources, and career planning.
